A newly launched COVID-19 communication center in Namibia on the 04/15/2020. The launch of the center provides a way for all sectors to engage the audience on key issues affecting their respective sector about the COIVD lock-down guidelines. The center that will now allow key sectors to communicate with the audience is interactive with journalists allowed to ask questions during the daily live press conference as well as through a dedicated email address. The government has adopted the who 8 pillars for the management of the response coordination management, logistics case management infection prevention, control surveillance laboratory points of entry risk communication, community engagement mental health and psycho-social support who as part of the all UN support. The government remains committed to providing technical guidance to the health sector response and it has increased capacity in coordination, surveillance, and case management. Efforts are underway for additional capacity in other areas of the health response.
Namibia has mobilized leadership through the presidency to support the COVID 19 response plan.
The COVID-19 communication center is an important event and provides all the ideas and issues that share the minds of the audience on this important issue. And they will interact with this center. Also, the government has provided 8 pillars to reduce this important issue. And it supports them in all respects and provides them with health and care.
